Yes I know this was another poor result after a CL match, but this was not a bad performance. If we continue to play like this for the remaining five matches we will finish fourth. We dominated possesion and played some excellent football. The first Spurs goal will probably win the goal of the season, Edman was fully 35 yards out and there seemed no danger when he unleashed a wicked shot which swerved and finally dipped under the bar in Dudek's top left corner. Dudek couldn't have stopped this ball unless he had a ladder! You wont see another strike like it for a long time. This only sparked the Reds into attack and we equallised with an excellent stike from Garcia a quality turn and shot again giving the keeper no chance but not in the same league as Edmans. We still had chances we wasted before half time, Morientes being the worst offender when he had a free header from 10 yards out and hit it straight at the keeper.

Second half Spurs took the lead again with some very slack marking leaving Keane completely unmarked to head on target. I actually think Dudek would have saved it but it was deflected of Carra into the opposite corner from the way Dudek was going. Stevie G then missed a penalty. When I say missed I mean missed this was not even close. To make ammends though he did hit the post with Robinson well beaten. Sammi H saved us a point with an excellent volley from the edge of the box to salvage a point.

All is not lost though, Bolton have to play Southampton midweek and they will have to fight for anthing there. Whilst Everton must try and get something off Man U.

I think the table after the next two games will make very interesting reading, with Bolton pushing for fourth as well this is going to go down to the wire so brace yourself for some fingernail biting.
