Reina: 7 - little to do but dealt with the few things well.
Finnan: 8 - Solid as always and got forward well.
Carra: 8 - Solid as always.
Hyypia: 8 - Solid as always.
Riise: 7 - Good in defence and good going forward. Average game for him but that is good enough most of the time.
Garcia: 7 - Great movement, not lucky today with his little tricks but overall a good game.
Kewell: 8 - Best so far (ignoring the first few months for us). Beat his man on a regular basis and whipped in crosses. Something we've been lacking for some time. Getting better with each game.
Alonso: 8 - He's simply mastered the art of passing. And he's getting better each game at tackling back.
Gerrard: 9 - Great performance in every aspect. Defended Alonso as well and got stuck in. No more Mr. NiceGuy from him.
Crouch: 8 - Again, great performance. But he'd score more goals if he just shot at goal instead of laying it off to other players (example: layoff to Garcia today instead of shooting himself.
Morientes: 8 - Getting better and better. Great passing, great movement and perhaps most importantly showing more aggression than before.

Flo-Po: 7 - Good touches and movement.
Cisse: 7 - Looking better each game. Obviously trying to be more of a team player, but is it too late?
Josemi: 7 - Short time but did what he had to do well.

Reina 7: Stealing a living, idle b*****d! Reina's exactly what you want in a goalkeeper. He may not have much (or anything at times) to do during a game, but if something comes his way, you know he's going to deal with it.

Finnan 7: Did well again defending, never seems to have a bad match, and overlapped very well down the right hand side.

Carra 8: Was Owen on the pitch?

Sami 8: Was Shearer? Just whp did Newcastle have upfront today?

Riise 8: Overlapped well, defended very well, with a superb headed clearence in the first half. Seems at times to be the forgotten man of our back 4, but you always know Riise will give it everything when he pulls on the shirt.

Garcia 7: Usual mix of sublime and ridiculous at times, can link up beautifully well and carve teams open, but then fails to control a ball and the move breaks down. Wouldn't have him any other way.

Alonso 8: Had so much time and space today to ping balls around, he must have thought Christmas had carried over.

Gerrard 9: You sir are a monster.

Kewell 9: Was absolutely superb. Denied by a stunning save from Given, worked his flank wonderfully well, and gave Newcastle's right back a torrid time. His crossing was outstanding and so was his workrate. More of that Harry, and everyones a winner.

Crouch 8: Lovely header to score his goal (feck off Press Association) people may think he's just a lanky guy, but he powered his way in to meet Kewells cross, and his touch to setup Gerrard was sublime.

Morientes 9: Brilliant. Touch, awareness, passing, movement were all top top class. Almost scored a fantastic individual goal right at the start of the game, and didn't stop working from then of. Newcastle couldn't deal with him, and he should have won a penalty off Solano. This is the Morientes we all know and love, and to those who think he should be sold nono.gif

Gerrard is my Man of the Match followed by Morientes with Kewell taking the 3rd spot.

We rolled Newcastle over today, with a confidence and pomp that I've not seen for quite a while. The eyes of the nation were watching and waiting for Owen to break all our hearts, and what they saw was a lesson in fluid attacking football.

Reina 7: EXCELLENT notamment sur un tir lointain de je ne sais plus qui

Finnan 7: très bon dans ses débordements à droite
Kewell 5: il a raté beaucoup de ballons quoiqu'il a déposé un joli ballon sur la tête de crouch pour le 2eme but
Alonso 8: très bon alonso, n'a pas été épargné par les coups
Gerrard 8: gerrard décisif à plus d'un titre!
Garcia 6: assez moyen
Morientes 9: fabulous, my MOM
Crouch 7: il a pesé sur la défense adverse et a un peu éclipsé moro
Moro 6: Bon match mais pas de buts

comme quoi,la volonté des fans de lfc de laisser du temps à payer.
c'est un joueur intelligent et élégant:un régal de le voir jouer!!!!

Reina 7 : Solide comme d'habitude.
Riise 6 : Assez discret dans les debordements, on l'a connu plus incisif.
Hyypïa 7,5 : Shearer a été totalement invisible et semblait tellement petit face à lui. Il aurait pu marquer sur une bonne tête cadrée sur un centre de Stevie G, et sur une reprise dans le petit filet suite à un sauvetage de la main sur sa ligne de Solano.
Carra 7 : Impeccable.
Finnan 6,5 : Pareil que Riise, il a quand même fait quelques montées.
Kewell 7 : C'est un des joueurs qu'on a vu le plus, il est l'auteur de la passe decisive pour Crouch, et a réalisé un petit festival sur le côté gauche avec notamment un superbe grand pont. Il retrouve la confiance. Par contre dans les tirs c'est pas encore ça, il en a expedié beaucoup dans les tribunes, et a tiré sur Given à bout portant suite à une belle déviation de Crouch.
Alonso 7 : Invisible en première mi-temps, il s'est ensuite bien repris avec quelques frappes et de très belles ouvertures.
Gerrard 8,5 : L'homme du match, on sent que ça lui fait du bien de rejouer au centre et de reprendre le controle de l'équipe, au détriment d'Alonso.
Enorme defensivement et offensivement, de sublimes transversales, et un super but.
Garcia 6 : Très bof, ça m'a étonné que Rafa ne le sorte pas. Il a raté beaucoup d'occasion, et s'est enervé sur le pauvre Crouch qui lui avait fait une passe pas si mal que ça... On le sentait assez frustré.
Morientes 8 : Il monte en puissance, son jeu de tête est de plus en plus dangereux, il dribble bien, temporise, fait des bonnes passes. Son jeu devient de plus en plus interessant. Il aurait merité de marquer, Solano sauvant de la main une de ses têtes.
Crouch 7,5 : Du bon Crouch, des bonnes deviations ( pour Kewell et Gerrard notamment ). L'equipe et particulierement Gerrard semble l'adorer. Mickey Owen devait être jaloux de cette osmose
Il marque encore un but assez controversé, son premier de la tête pour les Reds.

Pour les remplaçants, j'ai trouvé Sinama très bon, Cissé plutôt bon tout de même aussi, disons qu'il semble encore assez motivé, peut-être simplement pour attirer les recruteurs je ne sais pas. Josemi a pas joué longtemps mais m'a pas fait une super impression.
