Crouch and Gerrard

Crouch and Gerrard were the star players in their Euro qualifier against Andorra last night.

Crouch is really on fire at the moment and just cant stop scoring adding another 2 last night and could have had a hat trick. He has now scored 10 goals in his last 9 games for England.

Gerrard turned in a massive performance running the match for England and scoring a superb individual goal.

The Liverpool lads were easily the most influential players in this match.

Lampard was once again very poor, he really does seem to be struggling for form and should be dropped.

J'éspère vraiment que ce match contre l'Andorre va booster ces deux joueurs mais le probleme c'est qu'il vont faire un deplacement en Macedoine...ça va les epuiser pour le match contre EFC...

7 buts en 1 mois, 1 mois 1/2 pour Crouch, assez énorme

Je pense que c'est passager, c'est pas un mec qui plantera 25 buts dans la saison... Par contre il en mettra une dizaine avec plusieurs passes décisives et implications directs dans nos buts.

As you mentionned, Crouch is really on fire.There is no choice but to accept that this is probably one of our best striker (player) at this time of year.

At the same time, he will probably have to be considered as a substitute when Kuyt and Bellamy come up.

enormement influencé le jeux(je n'ait pu voir le match que hier soir en différé )et crouch confirme sont excellent debut
de saison
je vous rappelle quand meme que la saison derniere il y a eu une serie de 17 matchs sans planté
la cette année ca semble mieux partie

c'est clair que crouch on a l'impression de pas avoir a faire au meme joueur que l'an dernier meme si deja en fin de saison il etait meilleur qu'a ses debuts sus le maillot red.

It is dificult to believe but people are already talking about replacing him in both the England side. When Rooney is fit and in the Liverpool side now Kuyt has arrived.

He must be wondering just what he has to do to be considered an automatic choice?

Let's face it a strikers job is to score goals and he is doing it for fun.

TAke note of McLarens comments about how Crouch runs further in a match than any other player! For those who don't understand what Crouch brings to the Liverpool side.

Steve McClaren reflected on Peter Crouch's latest goalscoring contribution for England and declared: "He's phenomenal!"
The Liverpool striker netted in each half of Saturday's 5-0 victory over Andorra to take his tally at international level to an astonishing 10 goals in 13 games.

"What a record he has," said McClaren. "He received great service from Stuart Downing and Steven Gerrard, but he still had to score.

"He is a great team man. I wouldn't say he is undroppable, but when he's scoring goals at the current rate you need him in the team. He was phenomenal and he's doing very well at the moment.

"And we have computer statistics that show he constantly runs further than anybody during a match."

Crouch is enjoying his time in the international limelight but knows that with Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney still to return, competition for places in the England forward line is going to be fierce.

He said: "They are big players who will want their places back in the team but all I can do is express myself whenever I'm given the chance.

"It's great to be performing in a team which is playing so well. I'm scoring goals and enjoying it. I love playing for England."
