It seems Rafa feels that Aquilani is not fit enough to play? The question must surely be how is he ever going to get fit if he never plays.
I can't understand this approach, you don't risk him because you think he is not ready but you can play other players who are not fully fit?

There is a danger here that you will send the wrong message to the player. He could believe the manager doesn't think he is good or tough enough to play in the Premiership.
