Craig Bellamy has revealed his exasperation at being branded a troublemaker.
Bellamy has been handed the Wales captaincy by boss John Toshack for Saturday's Euro 2008 qualifier against Slovakia, but the conveying of the honour has not found favour with everyone.
The 27-year-old is to appear at Cardiff magistrates next week to answer common assault charges which, though they have been strenuously denied by the player, have given his critics further fuel.
"A lot of people have had problems. Look at the England captain [John Terry]. Has he had trouble? Of course. You could go on all day, there are loads of players who have had problems," said Bellamy.
