Feyenoord boss admits Kuyt exit fear

Feyenoord manager Erwin Koeman has admitted there is nothing he can do to stop striker Dirk Kuyt leaving the club, with Liverpool and Newcastle chasing him. The Dutch international failed to shine at the World Cup, but he is still high on the wanted lists at Anfield and St James's Park.
Koeman conceded to De Telegraaf that he is powerless to prevent the 25-year-old's departure if he wishes to force a move to the Premiership:
"At the moment nothing is concrete about Kuyt's future. Of course it can change tomorrow. In football these days the players are the boss. They decide when to go away."
Liverpool are thought to be favourites to land Kuyt, although they face the prospect of being outbid by Newcastle for the player, as the Magpies are thought to currently have greater resources at their disposal.
