Liverpool v Olympiakos

Contrary to what Sky news would like to have us believe our first team is not playing against Northwich Victoria tonight but is playing against Olympiakos. Just because this game is being shown on a non Sky channel they are putting out misinformation about the match. Still what can you expect from the owners of the Sun.

The coverage starts at 7.45pm French time and will be screened live on Channel 5. if you know somehwere that screens matches on Sky you will be able to see it there.

Nice opportunity to see some of our new players.

Yep 4-3 for the Super Reds, this was a practice match after all and here are my conclusions.

Crouch was very, very liveley up front as was Cisse who partnered him this could be a promising partnership. Crouch showed some class touches and was not nervous at all. Medjani was tried at centre back alongside Sami and to be fair this really did not work. Josemi started at right back and showed he has not improved at all. Carson in goal was extremley fortunate not to have picked the ball out of the net several times during the first 45 after some very poor decision making on his part. The linesman saved us more than once in the 1st 45 with some terrible decisons that were completely unfair to Olympiakos.

Second 45 Baros and Morientes look like the solution to all our striking problems. Baros even looks up to see who he can pass to and finds Nando with a ball that he slots away with real class. How come we have to threaten to sell him before he can play like this?

Conclusion, if Raffa has any money left he should buy Rivaldo!

This guy is just amazing JL he exudes class and he showed it again playing against us. He caused us all sorts of problems and if it had not been for some poor decisions by the linesman first half would probably have scored at least 2.

C'est le second match (aprés Wrexham) quis e solde par un 4-3 pour Liverpool.

Le point positif ce sont les 4 buts marqués, le point négatif les 3 encaissés. Cela vient t-il du fait que se sont des matchs amicaux donc on joue décontractés ou y a t-il un problème en défense ?
