Robbie Fowler announced himself to the football world in extraordinary fashion with a five goal blitz to see off Fulham in round two of the Coca-Cola Cup.
The 18-year-old, playing in only his fourth first-team match for Liverpool, took centre stage as he added to his debut goal in the 3-1 first-leg win at Craven Cottage in some style.
The Toxteth-born striker put the Reds in front on 13 minutes and effectively ended the tie as a contest five minutes before the interval to give Graeme Souness' men a 2-0 lead.
The half-time chatter amongst fans was whether Robbie would go on to grab his hat-trick and within two minutes of the restart he had answered that question in emphatic fashion.
But he wasn't finished there.
The number 23 added two more to his personal tally to give the Reds a 5-0 win and earn him a place in the record books as only the fourth player to score five goals in a match for Liverpool.
