Liverpool won 17 league games and finished 5th in the table.
Norwich and Crystal Palace were relegated.
Liverpool won the European Cup.
West Ham United promoted to top division.
Liverpool got knocked out of the European cup as the holders by CSKA Sofia 2-1 on agg.

In 2005 :

Liverpool as holders will play CSKA Sofia in 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League

l'histoire c'est répétée pour la victoire en CL mais la comparaison s'arrêtera là. Le CSKA aujourd'hui n'a j'espère plus rien a voir avec l'équipe des années 80 qui semait la terreur.
Ce qui est amusant c'est qu'à Istanbul, nous avons passé un long moment avec des supporters du CSKA qui étaient venu assister à la finale et tous supportaient Liverpool.

Thats right Yves we were all singing together I didn't make the connection though because i thought those guys were from CSKA Moscow? is it the same club?
