RAFA SIGNS NEW ANFIELD DEAL

Liverpool have today confirmed that manager Rafael Benitez has signed a brand new four year deal to remain in charge of the Reds.
Benitez announced his intention to remain with the club towards the end of last season and he has now officially put pen to paper on his new contract.

The Liverpool boss has achieved great success in his short time with the club so far and has become the first manager in the club's illustrious history to win major trophies in each of his first two seasons at Anfield.

The deal represents a one year extension to his original contract and will ensure he remains on Merseyside until 2010.

He said: "I'm delighted to have now signed the contract. There was never going to be a problem once we reached an agreement last season, and now all the documents have been signed and sent to the club.

"I'm very happy at Liverpool and hope we can enjoy more success in the seasons to come."

Rick Parry today spoke of his delight after manager Rafael Benitez committed his future to the club until 2010.
Benitez today put pen to paper on his new Anfield deal, finally ending speculation that he could be lured back to Spain.

Parry is thrilled Rafa is staying with the Reds and is confident he'll be able to build on his excellent first two seasons in charge.

"We are absolutely delighted Rafa has put pen to paper on this deal today," Parry said.

"The day we shook hands last season was when we really knew he was committing his future to us and we knew he was a man of his word and he'd sign the contract this summer.

"This contract is not about financial reward, but about Rafa's belief he can take the club even further forward.

"We are sure the club is in safe hands under this manager and we have someone who shares the vision of everyone connected to Liverpool."

Si il suffisait d'avoir les meilleurs joueurs pour tout gagner ça se saurait.
C'est un peu comme un orchestre: Tu peux avoir les meilleurs musiciens du monde, mais si ils ne jouent la même musique en même temps, c'est de la bouillie.
Le meilleur exemple c'était le BEATLES: pas des solistes fabuleux, mais ensemble c'était magique

he has showed the same comitment to taking liverpool forward as steven gerrard and carra showed recently when they signed long contracts.

now we need that comitment to be transfered in to actions on the pitch and get us that all important 19th chamionship.

Excellente nouvelle en effet. Et on verra ce que fera Chelsea, mais s'il suffisait les grands noms sur la feuille de match, Chelsea et le Real gagneraient tout.
Et jusqu'à preuve du contraire, on en est loin (surtout pour le Real).

Que rajouter de plus à ce qui a été écrit plus haut. Je suis ravi et c'est avec Rafa que nous y arriverons !
