The Liverpool striker has been in and out of Rafael Benitez's first team plans this season and hasn't played for his country since November.
He was omitted from the last squad to face Slovakia and he knows time his running out for him to keep his World Cup dreams alive.
"Yes, I'm a bit worried. There is always a fear about not being in the squad," Cisse said.
"Fears are always on my mind concerning Germany. I am scared but I will fight until the end to be in the 23-man list.
"In 2002, the World Cup was bitter, in 2004 I was not at the Euros, so in 2006 I wish to be in Germany to have a great World Cup.
Despite his lack of first team football on Merseyside, Cisse insists he has no desire to leave the club in the summer.
"I must not complain. I just need to shut up, work and give my best," he added. "I still have a three-year contract. I feel good here even if I don't play much. I get along very well with my team mates and I have a nice house and a son, Cassius. I have also got married."
