Well going by our statuesque performance against Brum, I don't believe that we really want Heskey back. His problem was that you would get one performance of this calibre per season out of him.
The match against Leverkusen is really going to be a damage limitation exercise and then hope that we can do something in the away leg.
The only recognised stiker who will be available will be Baros, Nando cup tied FLP and Cisse and Mellor all injured. We could see an all Czech attack i.e. Baros and Smicer?
In midfield we have Gerrard suspended, Xabi still injured and IMO that doesn't leave too many capable of dominating and creating unless I am forgetting someone here?
About the only area we can put out a first choice is in defence.
Still I am sure Raffa will have something up his sleeve, but I think he will probably go very defensive to try and prevent an away goal and hope to put out a stronger team in the return match.
This is going to be a very nervous ninety minutes. I always live in hope though and who would have bet on us winning against Olymiakos after them having scored and us needing 3 goals to go through
