match très solide à tous points de vue. L'équipe m'a fait encore une fois bonne impression, elle a jouée avec maîtrise et intelligence. Peut-être pas encore génial, mais plein de promesses lorsque l'effectif sera au complet.
Je trouve aussi que la victoire en CL nous a donné une assurance formidable qui devrait nous mettre a l'abri de grosses déceptions à répétition en league contre les "petites" équipes. De toutes évidences Rafa est en train de réussir ce que Houllier n'est jamais parvenu à faire: une équipe qui joue au foot avec un véritable esprit et dans le bon sens.
Je me répète: je suis persuadé que la saison répondra à notre attente.

You can't complain when we go away from home and win 3-1. This tie is over for CSKA but they did show they are dangerous and were really coming back into the game second half before Nando killed the game with the third.

Lots of positives here nando doing his confidence an immense amount of good with these goals. It was immediately visible after he scored the ball was no longer bouncing 2 yards off of him. The way he was winning the ball ,laying it off and holding it up he was like a different player. Cisse' pace was just frightening and the thing I like most is that he never gives the keeper time to set himself he just seems to shoot without any warning! very dangerous. I also thought Gerrard was superb in as much as he didn't try to shoot from 25 yards out all the time. Instead he had confidence in our strikers and laid on all three goals. Sissoko impressed me again with his very tidy, economical and efficient and effective style of play.

Slightly worrying was Warnock at left back who doesn't seem to be fully aware of players getting in behind him. I think a better team would have exposed this more effectively. The lad is a great prospect for the future but some one has to take him aside and point this out quickly as Traore will not be back for a month. Also the way we collectively went to sleep to allow them to score.

Still the real test comes Saturday. We all know how bad our results were last season in the prem after an away day in Europe.
