steven gerrard est devenu le buteur numero4 en coupes européennes du club.le classement est plus bas.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Steven Gerrard this evening climbed to equal fourth in our list of all-time European goalscorers, with his fifteenth goal in continental competition at FBK Kaunas, in our 3-1 Champions League second qualifying round win in Lithuania.
He won and converted a penalty, bringing him alongside 1970’s midfield dynamo Terry McDermott in our list of top European scorers, who shares the distinction of scoring in a European Cup Final. Steven's goals consist of eleven in the Champions League and four in the UEFA Cup, including one in the 2001 Final, and he is the only red to score in both such finals.
Gerrard is now just two goals behind 1960’s striking hero Roger Hunt, who bagged ten in the European Cup, five in the Fairs Cup and two in the European Cup Winners’ Cup. He netted three times in our first two-legged tie in Europe against Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavíkur, and one in the Cup Winners’ Cup Final in Dortmund in May 1966.
Steven will no doubt be hoping to climb further up this table even before the Champions League proper begins in September.
