| Le 19 octobre 1977, 1er but d'Alan Hansen avec les Reds lors d'une victoire 5-1 face au Dynamo Dresden en C1. | Citation: |
Alan Hansen struck his first goal for Liverpool as the Reds maintained their hopes of retaining the European Cup with a scintillating performance against Dynamo Dresden.
The young Scot was on hand to nod home John Toshack's flick-on after 14 minutes as Bob Paisley's side all-but secured their passage into round three with a 5-1 rout of their East German opponents at Anfield. Jimmy Case added a second on 21 minutes before Phil Neal's penalty on the stroke of half-time gave Liverpool a commanding interval lead. The fourth arrived just shy of the hour mark with Case on target again before Ray Kennedy got in on the act on 66 minutes. The 5-1 scoreline made the second-leg academic and although Dresden claimed a 2-1 win on home soil, Liverpool prevailed and went on to lift the trophy with a 1-0 win over Brugge at Wembley. http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N157361071019-0922.htm
