Saturday June 27th 2009

As expected, the Guardian Council finally certified the election results after putting up a show that did not attract anyone’s attention, and ignoring all the fraud and violations that took place…From now on, we will have a government which is in the worst shape in terms of its relationship to the nation, and the majority of the people, including myself, do not accept its legitimacy. “…” It is feared that because of the numerous inherent weaknesses of [this government], it will fall in the trap of granting advantages to the aliens.

People’s trust [in the government] has been lost and denying this fact will not be beneficial. “…” A regime that relied on people’s trust for 30 year cannot replace that trust with military force overnight. “…” How can people trust a government that imprisons their friends, colleagues and children based on its own illusions? A military environment only hurts people’s feelings towards the regime. Free media are the respiratory channels of a healthy society; to regain people’s trust do not clog these channels…We alienate everyone from ourselves with smallest excuses…until we are all alone. This is not the way of the Islamic Revolution or Islam, which opens its arms to everyone. “…”

Despite what happened, we have not lost our great dreams…during the past few months. “…” All the efforts against you is to make you lose hope in the fruitfulness of your legal protests. “…” It is our historic responsibility to continue our protest and not abandon our efforts to demand the rights of the people. It is our religious obligation not to allow the revolution and the regime to be transformed to something that is rejected by Islam. It is our revolutionary responsibility not to allow the blood of thousands of martyrs to be degraded to a military regime. “…”

I encourage all the decision-making bureaus not to act like the Guardian Council and leave room to repair mistakes. “…” Our story, no matter how bitter, is a family dispute. If we act prematurely and allow the foreigners to intervene, we will soon regret it. We are at a time when the solution to many of our problems is law. True! Law is not always without flaws. True! Common law is a social contract and like any agreement, it has to be obeyed as long as both parties are committed to it. True! Your (people’s) opposition undermines the constitution; it deprives you from your right to assemble; even if you tie a green piece of cloth to your wrist as a sign of protest, the same people who are responsible for security beat you up. “…” However, our efforts are not to get revenge. Our movement is an attempt to correct and improve our country. To reach this goal, we have to respect even the corpse of law because we know that tomorrow, when we reach our goals, the first thing we need to establish is a commitment to law. “…”

I invite all of you to brotherhood. Our victory depends on your collaboration and this includes the people who voted for other [candidates.] Even those who are against us now and resort to violence share our brotherhood. Because we seek a future where even the person who has beaten our sister and brother in the street [will have a better life.]

At first our goal was to return religious wisdom to the management of our country but in the process, we have been led to higher goals. “…” Today, the public demands the handling of the elections with competency in a way that it would gain national trust and leaves no room for lies and fraud. This has become an undeniable public request…

Several characters and groups have come to me and asked me to forgive what happened in the past. Perhaps they do not realize that I let go off my own personal rights from the beginning. But the issue of the elections was not and is not a personal matter. I cannot let go of or compromise people’s rights which have been violated. The issue is our regime’s republicanism and even its Islamic character. If we do not stand up, there will be no guarantee that what happened in recent elections will not happen in the future. A group of elite are going to come together and create a legal organization to safeguard the dishonored rights and votes of the people by publishing the documents and proofs of fraud and referring to judicial courts. They will regularly announce the results to the people. I will also join this group. This group will demand the enforcement of the constitutional articles that have been violated and in addition, it will pursue the following:

Stop security and military involvement in electoral issues and return the country to its normal political environment
Revise the electoral laws in order to eliminate the possibility of widespread fraud and guarantee the neutrality of the overseeing agencies
Observance of article 27 of the constitution regarding freedom of assembly
Freedom of the media
Reactivate independent news websites
Ban illegal government intervention in communication channels such as Internet, text messaging, and prevent the disconnection of phones and eavesdropping on people’s conversations
Stop biased treatments, accusations, lies and insults on the state media
Have independent TV channels inside and outside the country
Issue permits for social, political, cultural and economic gatherings
Release of all political prisoners, annulment of all forged security cases
In the end, I wish peace upon all the honorable people of our country, whether they voted for my or not, and especially those who were injured during the recent unfortunate events. I also pay tribute to the martyrs who rolled in their blood in pursuit of their rights and freedom and I ask the almighty god to give their families patience.

United Student Front announced ,on July 9th they will participate in demonstrations!

United Student Front announced ,on July 9th they will participate in demonstrations. These marches and demonstrations which have announced by group of Iran universities students and suppose to be held in many parts of country are welcomed by many people and news update and recall for people to participate in them continues from every where.
Announcement text of Student United Front is as follows:

Threshold of 10th anniversary of student uprising on July 9th and to protest beating students of Tehran Uni dormitory and other universities and killing some oppressed Iranian people by Iran and Iranian enemies on June 12th infamous coup , we supporters of Student United Front , call all students , workers, teachers , women right activist , human right activists and all freedom lover Iranians who are fighting for freedom and human rights to participate in this "Silence March" Thursday July 9th at 8 pm to support political prisoners and commemorate martyrs of July 9th student uprising and June 12th infamous coup.

_______________

On the twentieth day of the Iranian people’s nationwide uprising on Thursday, July 2, a large portion of Tehran’s Bazaar went on strike, with the majority of owners either refusing to open their shops or closing shop by noon. Agents from the clerical regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security and plain-clothes agents had attempted to preclude the strike through intimidation and imposition of pressures.

29 people to be executed tomorrow in Karaj, Iran!
According to news received by the International Committee against Executions, 29 people are to be executed tomorrow, Saturday, in Ghezal Hesar prison in Karaj. It has been reported that the 29 have been separated from other prisoners. There is no information on their charges.

The executions are being carried out in order to intimidate people and is directed at the protesting people of Iran.

_______________

Horrible news are slipping out of official, secret, and temporary prisons, detaining people arrested in recent unrests, which calls for a new and public movement towards revelation of the crimes occurring at the moment and immediate release – without – condition of all political prisoners.

On one hand, families of activists imprisoned recently and even before can very well provide incentive for that purpose inside the country. On the other hand, the significant role of activists off border must not be neglected. Anniversary of 1988 large-scale executions of Iranian political prisoners may be supported by this movement as well.

Shocking news confirm that people arrested in recent rallies, especially youths, are being tortured to death. Generally recognized individuals, i.e. journalists and activists from Mousavi and Karroubi HQs, are also being violently forced to plead guilty and repeat prearranged notes in front of the media. Most importantly, the IR government is following a Latin-American-style forced disappearance (Desaparecidos) strategy. A conscript, serving at Evin Prison as a guard, declares that a special place inside the prison is dedicated to Basij and IRGC Intelligence agents, where no one is permitted. “So horrendously do they torture people than even hearing the voices from outside has caused mental disorder in us. Transferring ten corpses, dead under torture, every everyday with ambulances from Evin Prison to anonymous graves has become business as usual for the prison”, said the soldier.

The main objective of these large-scale arrests and beatings has proved to be intimidation. In other words, many were arrested and then bludgeoned for several hours, in that they were wearing in a particular fashion or were in a certain age for intimidating people passing by the scene and further for detainee’s describing what happened to them in public after they were released. The story, however, does not finish here. They are using images captured using trap cameras installed in places where main clashes occurred, i.e. Basij HQs and Governmental Buildings, to identify youths chanting slogans there, according to which they select their subsequent victims amongst the detainees. More disturbing is robbing youths identified during their nightly chanting slogans on the roof of their houses. They are apparently trying to remove at least a few hundred from students, teachers, and university lecturers, whom they consider a threat by the end of summer, when schools will be open again. Besides, it seems that we are going to experience a de facto unofficially-closed semester with the beginning of autumn, as three hundred thousands of the candidates have not participated in university entrance exams, according to ministry of science. The ministry has also announced that they are reducing forty percent Basij university quotas into half, while apparently Basij quotas have become redundant for several years now, which most probably suggests that they are trying to fill universities with Basijis in the form of paramilitary forces in order to suppress the potential unrests in universities in future.

Hence, it is crucial for all of us outside the country to spread the news regarding recent disappearances. Moreover, we should anticipate similar strategies towards student movements as happened in Latin America.

It is also necessary to be aware of the standpoints of the dictator government. It seems that they do not even show mercy to parties linked to the regime. As a case in point, one of very politically significant, ex-intelligence agents, supporting Rafsanjani or Mousavi at the moment, wrote a letter to Ezzatollah Zarghami, the head of IRIB, objecting about IRIB’s recent policies. A few hours later, Ministry of Intelligence arrested him, and only released him after a few hours of brutal torture. They do not show compassion to their own elements, let alone students protesting against them.

"Inside the prayers — held on a former soccer field covered with a roof — some worshippers rubbed their eyes as tear gas from outside drifted in. They traded competing chants with some hard-liners in the congregation. When the hard-liners chanted "death to America," Mousavi supporters countered with "death to Russia" and "death to China."
It was a reference to Ahmadinejad's alliance with both countries. Ahmadinejad has come under criticism in Iran for not criticizing Beijing over Muslim deaths in China's western Xinjiang province."
